This collection is really started as a small celebration honouring my son, innocence and childhood.

When my boy was born, my father gave to him (via me) a beautiful highchair made by my great grandfather J.W.R. for his first born son, my grandfather. The chair has a leather back tooled to depict a rising sun.

In addition, as my boy grew into a toddler I recalled the embroideries my mum used to make when I was his age, before she went to art school; solid 1970's folk art, the embroideries depicted scenes with elves and mushrooms and great trees. And of course everything, especially the suns, had faces.
